Healed up inside of my veggie half sleeve.
Man, it’s been a week now. Life doesn’t feel the same at all. We had an absolute blast riding over those three days. I’m guessing that we could do it in 2 days now that we know what’s ahead of us. We met some really helpful people, including a hunter near Biscoe, AR, who told us a great spot to camp the first night. We rode by a lot of fields. We battled the wind.
We’d love to make this ride to Memphis a yearly thing. It’s our hope that we can eventually amass a crowd big enough to block the entire lane of traffic. Wouldn’t that be rad? Until then we’re tentatively planning a ride in the spring around April or May. That’ll probably be the next time we get great/consistent weather. We’re thinking either Fayetteville or Nashville. There’s an elephant sanctuary near Nashville that would be super rad to visit and maybe even ride in support of. Until then, we’ll keep you up to date on all of our short rides and hopefully do some really fun/silly riding in the winter. Here’s a few non-iphone shots from the trip, you can see the rest of them at flickr.

And guys, last but not least, we raised $805 for Our House. That’s absolutely incredible. You outdid yourselves and we appreciate it beyond measure. Thank you for helping us make this such a success!
So the ride is quickly approaching and things are getting exciting in the Vegan Biker Dude camp. You know if I ever catch myself now and again thinking, ”How can i do this?” or “That seems so hard and impossible.” I know that the task will come and go. I’ll look back on it and think, “Wow, what a silly idea that became a reality and was awesome.” I know Don and I have a long road ahead of us, so here’s something that’s been inspiring me. It might seem silly but this kid is speaking the truth. For real.

“No words to resist. Can’t write without a thumb. How can she say she doesn’t want this done? And every thirteen months, until she’s no good, given what will only be taken away to the same fate, or a veal crate.”
I knew I loved this band.
